Electronic Daisy Carnival Starts Friday
If you’ve never been in Vegas during the Electric Daisy Carnival, or EDC, there are a few things you need to know. Attendance each night is projected to be around 115,000. EDC rivals the largest conventions in Las Vegas, as a result, the city’s infrastructure gets stressed to the limit.
It’s a Jam
EDC rolls into Las Vegas Motorspeedway and sets up shop for what is essentially the worlds largest rave. All these revelers need a way to get to and from the party, so taxis, limos, and all forms of for-hire transportation are in high demand. Expect traffic delays throughout town.
Be Cool, Man, Be Cool
If you are a first time EDC attendee, check out our general Vegas travel tips. The weather forecast calls for highs of 102 on Friday and Sunday with a high of 104 on Saturday. If you plan to party all day, stay hydrated. Water alone is not enough, in the dry desert heat your body needs electrolytes, so turn to a sports drink like Gatorade or Powerade to keep your system in balance. If you want to know how to get around Vegas with minimal exposure to the sun during a heat-wave, our Beat the Weather Guide will show you some tricks in navigating the strip.
Branch Out

Electric Daisy Carnival definitely brings a younger crowd to Las Vegas, and the venues have responded. There are parties for all ages and 18+ revelers alike. Bassrush Massive is headlining an 18+ event at Brooklyn Bowl by the Linq Thursday, and Dash Berlin has an all ages event the same night at Cosmopolitan’s Boulevard pool. As long as you are in Vegas, hit an 18 and over strip club as well.

Have fun this EDC week, and go easy on the disco biscuits, k?
